The Adam Brown Shamrock Run shoe donation from Vance Air Force Base

Col. Matt Astroth, the 71st Flying Training Wing vice commander, donates a pair of shoes Mar. 14 at Vance Air Force Base, Okla., to Courtney Dennis, the YWCA Enid executive director, in commemoration of the Adam Brown Shamrock Run. U.S. Navy Chief Petty Officer Adam Brown was killed in action Mar. 17, 2010, in Afghanistan. His legacy lives on through Operation Fearless Shoes, a non-profit foundation that accepts donations of shoes, which are distributed to people who need them.
